Description
VERSANTE SUD – ETNA ROSSO
Denominazione di Origine Controllata
The most sought-after version of the Serafica family’s Etna Rosso. The result of a selection of grapes that originate from the vineyard that is born inside the caldera of an extinct volcanic crater. From the vineyard of one and a half hectares located 850 meters above sea level in the Monticelli district, only 1528 bottles are produced. The Nerello Mascalese grapes are vinified to create a great Etna red that is aged for 18 months in 20 hl Slavonian oak barrels to best express the elegance of the South Side of the volcano, the restless creator of the minerality that distinguishes the typical Etna terroir and our family’s wines.
